La Fuente

De-stress. Reserve a few days or an extended visit to our comfortable ocean-front condo in Baja, California. You will have the opportunity to experience the power of a healthy essential oils lifestyle during your visit.

We are located at milemarker K57.5 just before the village of La Misión. Please send us an email with your request for more information or to reserve your Baja vacation and do include your anticipated travel dates, plans, and phone contact (with the best time for us to call you).

After reserving, we'll send you explicit directions to Plaza Del Mar at the Pirámides and instructions (with secure code) to get you inside La Fuente, your condo and home away from home.

Click here for directions to Plaza Del Mar at the Pirámides (look for the ersatz Mayan Pyramid; it's not genuine) - go straight in the open driveway (not the gated) and take a right at the big Mayan head -- follow signs to the Office" and park in the lot in the space marked "M4 Reserved" or a spot that is not designated for a resident.
Check out how cozy . . . your home away from home for the holidays or any celebration!

Reserve today

We're on VRBO and AirBnB but (because you found Lifestyles by Lucci) you can reserve direct and save a buck or two. Send and email with your travel plans and please include your phone no. with the best time for us to contact you.
Drinking (Don't drink the tap water!).
Please don't drink, prepare foods, or brush your teeth with tap water during your stay. We provide a small supply of complimentary water and usually have extra (for purchase if it's a large amount). Gaby's is closeby and a good place for large container refills. Next to Calimax, the big grocery store in Puerto Nuevo, there is a "water store" offering pure drinking water and ice (available as regular or alkaline). You will find these water stores in almost every village along the free road (Libre)
México 1  -- not to be confused with the toll-road México 1D (Cuoto).
Driving.
México 1D (Cuoto) is the "toll road" to La Misión. There are two tolls ($2 US or slightly more) between Tijuana and the La Fonda exit. The toll road is well-lit and the road is in good condition -- watch for potholes and rough sections at entrances and exits.

Services onsite and around town

Aromatherapy and AromaTouch. You will experience aromatherapy during your stay as your host is an essential oils educator and expert who uses them in all aspects of healthy living. She is certified in the therapeutic AromaTouch Technique® combining human touch therapy with the application of essential oils to the spine, head, and feet (a modified version, the Hand Technique, is also available). The essential oils used in AromaTouch  were specifically selected for their aromatic properties and wellness benefits. When used together, these essential oils activate oxytocin, the "hug" hormone, and help create balance and a state of homeostasis. Click here to learn more.

“The AromaTouch Technique was developed to maximize the benefits of essential oils. Its powerful benefits can be effectively delivered equally well by both the novice essential oil enthusiast and the professional health practitioner.” – Dr. David K. Hill.
Nature & art experience.  Ask about our friends that offer nature and artsy experiences during your stay. Whether a stroll along the natural estuary to explore native plants,  birds, wildlife on land and in the water.

Hike up one of our small mountains, enjoy a beach walk and picnic, or a day gathering local flora, fauna, funga from the sea and land for sun-dying natural fabrics to take home. We can help arrange a tour of Popota where we will visit artisan shops and  art galleries and stop for a coffee, cold drink, or snack.

Massage therapy & energy work. We are pleased to refer you to one or two of the many excellent massage therapists nearby or in the village of La Misión with studios and some traveling that will come to you!

Other services. Treat yourself to a pedicure, manicure, or other spa service from the famous La Fonda (pedicure special on Wednesdays). Our village of La Misión offers a network of traveling spa service providers too - just ask - a massage on our beautiful patio is sure to be an amazing experience.

Yoga, meditation, and adventure at the ready. Kundalini yoga (some Saturdays) is available onsite plus there is a yoga studio and gym just down the road. If you are more on the adventurous side, we can connect you with the local parasailing, surfing lessons, kayaking on the estuary, horseback riding, ziplining, and dune buggy off-roading on the sand dunes.

Shopping and food. Along the road and in the village of La Misión you will find Gaby's and several other family-owned fruit stands and grocers plus taco shops,  small restaurants, and other shops. We have three farmer's markets in La Misión (believe it or not): Monday Market near Magania's restaurant, Thursday at the Yoga Gym, and Saturday at the Del Valle Cafe and Archer's Pizza shopping center.

More about our place

We use non-toxic cleaners enhanced with pure essential oil botanicals. Handcrafted "spa and personal care" products plus a small selection of our most popular essential oils and blends (sample size or 5mL-15mL bottles) are available for purchase during your stay.

And for you DIYers, here's a few of our recipes . . .

Travel tips

Passports are recommended but not required if you are a resident of the US with a valid state driver's license. More specific tips and information about border crossing into Mexico and back to the US are included in our guide, Ola! (available for free download after you reserve your stay).

Get there by air and car. San Diego International Airport is about 1.5 hours drive. Take I-5 south where you will cross the border into Tijuana, MX.  Using the Scenic 1D, you will avoid the city traffic and the views are spectacular.

If you're in Mexico or flying internationally, fly into Tijuana International Airport (you cannot fly direct to Tijuana from the United States).
Driving.
México 1D (Cuoto) is the "toll road" to La Misión. There are two tolls ($2 US or slightly more) between Tijuana and the La Fonda exit. The toll road is well-lit and the road is in good condition -- watch for potholes and rough sections at entrances and exits.

México 1 (Libre) is the "free road" (no tolls). It's a good option for a scenic drive during daylight hours (not recommended at night as it's poorly lit with twists and turns and lots of "ALTO" stop signs. Please be watchful as the ALTO stop signs often sneak up on you and are sometimes hard to see.

Travel with essential oils. Pack full-sized 5-15mL bottles in your checked luggage. Be sure to prepare some sample bottles to keep in your pocket or carry on luggage. They can calm travel nerves, motion sickness, and help keep  you protected from germs on surfaces and in the air, while you're in the air!

Watch our Travel With Essential Oils on our YouTube channel and check out our blog post with more about first aid and travel with essential oils.
Cooking & Mixology with essential oils. Now and then, your host will whip up a recipe to share or leave an elixir (essential oil blend) ready for you to give it a go.
